Putin praises Russia-China relations in message to Xi on National Day
“Russian-Chinese relations are at an unprecedented level – this was fully confirmed by our recent thorough and constructive discussions in Tianjin and Beijing,” Putin said in the congratulatory message, which was published by the Kremlin.
Putin highlighted China’s ongoing progress in socioeconomic, scientific, and technological development, noting that the country has steadily strengthened its international standing while contributing to solutions for key global challenges.
He expressed confidence that agreements reached between the two nations would enhance bilateral partnerships and dialogue, as well as pave the way for new large-scale joint initiatives across multiple sectors.
“This undoubtedly meets the fundamental interests of the friendly peoples of Russia and China and is consistent with the construction of a just and democratic multipolar world order,” he added.
China celebrates its National Day on October 1 each year, marking the founding of the People’s Republic of China, which was officially declared in 1949 by Mao Zedong.
